Rotary Lobe Pump is a rotating volumetric pump, through the relative motion between the rotor and the pump body to change the working volume, so that the liquid energy increases, with positive displacement properties, the flow rate does not change with the change in back pressure. The following is its specific introduction:
Categorize
According to the structure type can be divided into gear pumps, screw pumps, rotary piston pumps (cam pumps, Roots pumps), flexible impeller pumps, slide pumps, hose pumps and so on. For example, gear pumps rely on meshing gears and the pump body to form a change in the working volume to transport liquids; screw pumps rely on meshing screws to suction and delivery of liquids.
Working Principle
Relying on the two synchronous reverse rotation of the rotor in the inlet to generate suction inhalation of materials, the rotor will rotor chamber separated into a small space, according to a specific sequence of operation, so that the medium from the inlet to the outlet, the cycle of continuous conveying of materials.
Performance Characteristics
- Stable flow: at a certain operating frequency, the output flow depends on the working chamber volume and efficiency, and discharge pressure, medium temperature viscosity, etc., the flow rate is constant.
- Strong adaptability: in principle, any medium can be transported, not subject to physical and chemical properties, but the actual application will be affected by the manufacturing materials, processes and sealing technology.
- Self-priming ability: when there is liquid film on the surface of the rotor, the pump has the ability of self-priming, and the maximum suction range can reach 8.5-9.5 meters.
- Hygiene and environmental protection: the streamline structure of the rotor and the rotor chamber without dead spots and non-metallic parts, to avoid contamination of the transported material, suitable for sanitary media and corrosive, high-viscosity media transportation.
Scope of Application
Widely used in food and beverages, fruit concentrates, paste products, cosmetics, drugs, chemical industry and other fields, can be transported vapor, liquid, solid and other three-phase mixtures, such as dairy products, latex, chocolate, syrups, creams, detergents, dips, emulsions, dyes, fats and so on.
Selection Points
Need to consider the flow rate of the liquid to be transported, the viscosity of the applicable range, the stability of the pump performance in the viscosity and other process conditions change, the back pressure of the system, the suction performance, high temperature and corrosion resistance, as well as the nature of the transported liquid and other factors.
