Rotary pumps are a very popular equipment. In actual operation, rotary pumps can be repaired without disassembling the pump body and pipelines, and have low maintenance costs and long service life. Due to the unique working principle of rotary pumps, they have significant advantages in conveying high viscosity and volatile materials. Today, Bonve Pump Industry will share some small knowledge about rotary pumps with you.
01 Difference between Rotary Pump and Gear Pump
The rotary pump drives two rotors through a pair of gear meshing transmission, aiming to achieve synchronous reverse rotation. During the rotation process, the inlet will generate a vacuum degree, thereby sucking in the liquid to be transported. This is a type of positive displacement pump. The characteristic is the ability to resist wear and corrosion. Rotary pumps are used for transporting high concentration, viscous, and hygienic materials in industries such as food, chemical, and pharmaceutical.
Gear pump is a type of positive displacement rotary pump with a pair of meshing gears. One of the driving gears is driven by a motor to rotate, while the other is driven by a driven gear that meshes with the production gear to rotate. As the two teeth gradually separate, a partial vacuum is formed. The liquid is sucked into the suction pipe under atmospheric pressure, and the sucked liquid is squeezed out along the inner wall of the pump body by the gears. It has the characteristics of small processing and high head, and is very suitable for transporting viscous liquids, semi-solid high viscosity materials such as soap, silicone oil, rosin, coatings, heavy oil, etc. It is the first choice for transporting these materials.
Does the use of a rotary pump require pumping?
When using a rotary pump, it does not require pumping and allows for short-term dry operation. It has stable self-priming and a suction range of up to 9 meters. It also has advantages in the selection of mobile pump trucks and integrated pumps for unloading and sweeping.
What should I do if the suction of the 03 rotor pump is weak?
In general, if the suction of a rotary pump is insufficient, the rotor should be checked for wear first. If there is wear, a new rotor should be replaced. If there is no wear, the pump speed can be increased appropriately. When selecting, a pump with a larger flow rate can be chosen to reduce the speed. After the rotor wears out later, the speed can be increased appropriately to meet the actual operating conditions.
In addition, if a rotor pump with strong suction is needed, the rotor material should be selected according to the medium first. For non food products that require 304 stainless steel material, rubber material rotors can be used
Can the 04 rotary pump be specially customized?
Rotary pumps can be specially customized, including the driving device, such as the installation method of the motor, the direction, distance, material, and so on of the inlet and outlet flanges. The rotor pump adopts the method of placing the motor on top, which can effectively reduce the use of space and is suitable for the design of overall lifting.
